You know your getting old when your nephew celebrates his first birthday…and it only seems like yesterday you were ferrying folk up to the hospital to celebrate his entrance into the world.
Crumbs!

Wee man
Next it’ll be his first legal beer!

Crisps
Still to brave a packet…still remember the urban myth from childhood, of the chocolate flavoured crisps. Seems that ones true as well >_<
Clearly there is no holiday season called Retromas…which is a pity. ‘Cos there should be.
Regular readers to this half arsed blog may recall a post in June detailing what I’d like to do with an old NES controller. In the past couple of months I’ve actually gone and changed my mind, and instead have rekindled a childhood love of the NES. So far, it’s expanded only as far as Super Mario Bro’s 3 but, largely thanks to Ebay, Days of Thunder is on it’s way. I last played the game some 16 or so years ago, fingers crossed it won’t be as shit as the movie!
PS – If I can be bothered, a review of DOT may follow
PPS – Isn’t ironic everyone seemed dissapointed that the end of the world didn’t happen. Figures.
Just a week to go. Supergrass headlining. A number of top-notch local bands and, recently confirmed, The Dykeenies as well.
Put simply, I can’t wait!
I was meant to go see The Dykeenies at the Tunnels back in February – but for a bizzare and unimpressive list of reasons, I didn’t end up going. I’ve never been let that slip since!
The festival may only be a week away, but it just seems like yesterday I was sat in the studio reading the press release, confirming this years headliners.
Expect blog-tastic jollication sometime in a week and a half.
Or, failing that, an appeal to name that song…
Answers on a postcard..
Just wondering if its the 2008 remake that was promised on IMDB a while back???

WallE

Johnny Five's still alive??
Hmm…still, it’s on ‘the list’ of things to go see. Need an excuse though I think!
…just a pity I ain’t got a picture to prove it!
Fuel to drive little brother back through to Aberdeen – £20
Match Programme – £5
Tickets to see the Dons get mauled by Man United….Priceless
In the latest exciting holiday installment, I’ve discovered that the parents door bell button can be removed from location (ie the front door) and can go on it’s own little holiday.
As the day wears on I’m catching more and more people out with a trip down memory lane. Ding Dong Dash, online stylee…best part is it’s all remote controlled.
Anyway, the holiday marches on and plans for the week getting better. A light beer or two, some dvds, some mates and some retro gaming on the cards for this evening. Seems the 3DO has been found, set up, and still works.
